Focus Room · Account deletion
Delete your account and data.
Focus Room has no email or password account. Your "account" is the record our server creates when you take a username, join a Focus Team or back up with Google Play Games. You can permanently delete that record and everything linked to it in one of the ways below.
1If Play Games is connected
- Open Focus Room and go to Settings.
- In Account and backup, tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Kalıcı olarak sil (Delete permanently). You will see "Hesabın silindi." (Your account was deleted).
The same screen is also reachable from the Team page: Team → ⋯ (Team options) → My account → Delete account.
2If Play Games is not connected but you are in a team
- Open the Team page in Focus Room.
- Tap ⋯ (Team options) next to the team name and choose Delete my team data.
- Confirm with Kalıcı olarak sil (Delete permanently).
For users without Play Games, this deletes your entire server record, username included.
If Play Games is connected, Delete my team data only removes your team memberships and session records; your username, Play Games link and backup remain. Use option 1 to delete everything.
3If you cannot open the app, or the buttons above are not there
If you lost your phone, uninstalled the app, or only took a username without joining a team (in that case the app does not show a delete button yet), email us:
- Subject: Focus Room account deletion
- Your in-app @username and any #team tags.
- Whether you connected Play Games.
We may ask for additional information to reasonably verify that the request comes from you. We complete the request within 30 days at the latest and confirm by email.
4What is deleted
Once you confirm, the following is removed from our server immediately:
- Your username, avatar, created and last-seen times
- Your device-key hashes (this phone and any other phone opened with the same account)
- Your Google Play Games player ID link
- Your backup (room, items, tomatoes, streak, badges, settings)
- All your team memberships and focus session records
- Join requests and team invites you sent or received
- Your reserved old username and username change history
5What remains, and for how long
- Teams: if a team you created still has other members, the team and its #tag stay with them and admin rights pass to the longest-standing member. If nobody else is in it, the team is deleted too.
- Database recovery log: deleted data stays in Cloudflare D1's disaster-recovery log for up to 30 days and then expires automatically. It is used only to recover from an outage.
- Data on your phone: account deletion removes server data; your room and progress on the phone stay. To remove them too, use Settings → Reset progress or uninstall the app.
- Google Play Games: your Play Games profile lives at Google and is not affected by our deletion. You can manage it in your Google account.
If you use the app again after deletion, a new empty record is created; old data cannot be restored. Details: Privacy policy.
